The owner is purely disgusting and an amateur, at best. The Hamptons deserve better than this. He's overtly rude, disrespectful and, to boot, a liar. Prancing around his young daughter did not add credibility to serving us God knows what... Bone marrow dumplings and Chilean sea bass...I'm afraid not. Does he think his clientele are stupid?
very pretty place (id recommend outside) and our waiter was sweet. however, i kept getting brought wine and being asked if i ordered it (3 times, which i did not). not much for vegetarians (dumplings for appetizer were great), the chow fun noodles are basically just noodles w/ some soy sauce and not much else. meat eaters w/ me were happy though (shanghai chicken). a bit too hamptons hoity toity for me though.
And...he has to own up to the putrid garbage that lays only feet away from his dining area. Are you kidding me?
Waiter acted like we were a hassle ordering a specific drink. We were respectful. Ordered a higher priced meal for a birthday, was underwhelmed. Will Not waste our money on this non Chinese Chinese food...
The food was excellent! We had the peking chicken and the pancakes were just like we had in Asia. Every dishes was better than expected and service was some of the best for the Hampton's. It's the new hot spot but the food was the best chinese we have had out here in years. We have been back 3x and enjoyed each dinner. Not easy to find good food in the Hamptons hope Jue Lan stays open year round!
